A Houston lawyer died in poverty and many officials in the city contributed to a fund his funeral.

The Sheriff of Houston was asked to donate 10 dollars.

"Only 10 dollars?" said the Sheriff, "Only 10 dollars to bury an attorney? Here's a hundred dollars, go and bury 10 more of them."
