Lift Up Those Down Moments

Lift Up Your Down Moments With Jokes and Famous Sayings! By: http://JokesAndSayings.net

We all have those days where we feel drained. Or, just flat down. Maybe we had a run-in with someone. Maybe we are worried about tomorrow.

Sadly, many reach for harmful solutions, things that in the short term might seem to work, but even if they do, it's at the expense of tomorrow. In moderation, it's probably no big deal but there are better things.

I recommend you come up with a list of things that get you up. Have it near your computer or wherever you hang around a lot. Now, be sure to have those things around, at the ready. These are your "positive triggers".

Next, list the things (and people!) that get you down. Go hunting for anything that reminds you of those negatives. Hide them, bury them, burn them (well, not the people! Just try to figure out how to AVOID them).

At the top of the list of positive triggers, you should have "jokes" and "inspirational sayings". For they can really get you into a better frame of mind. Humor is indeed a GOOD medicine. I won't call it the BEST medicine, as many claim. But, it does have big time merits and maybe is in the top 10% of remedies!

And inspirational quotes can really inspire you. Some so good as to give you "goose bumps".

Everyday life has many funny moments so you don't have to complicate this. Woody Allen had this to say: "There are worse things in life than death. Have you ever spent an evening with an insurance salesman?" If you invited a salesman over or just let him in, maybe the joke's on you. Hey, nothing wrong with laughing at yourself!

And, Allen, perhaps musing about the Beatles song "All You Need Is Love" stated: "Love is the answer, but while you're waiting for the answer, sex raises some pretty interesting questions."

Allen also quipped: "If you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans." Robbie Williams, the English pop singer, has a line about this in his song, "Real Love", or whatever it's called. I think his song goes like, "I sit around and talk to God, but he just laughs at my plans". Maybe he, feeling masochistic, heeded Allen's advice!

I think Allen might also have said the following: "The talent for being happy is appreciating and liking what you have, instead of what you don't have." That isn't funny, but something you might write down somewhere and refer to regularly.

Speaking of sayings relating to life, John Lennon said that life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans. Yep.

This is the Joke Genie bidding you good health in mind and body!
